Donald's Gaelic Tent - MacRae Meadows

Songs of ineffable beauty from the Scottish Highlands and Islands sung in Gaelic will be heard on the Meadows this year from Donald's Ceilidh Tent. Come along and join in. After each song-session there will be a brief period when you can learn easy-to-say expressions in the Gaelic language. The Tent is situated on the East Meadow near the Cairn of the Clans.

Song-sheets will be provided in the Mother Tongue - Gaelic. Translations of all songs will be provided along with easy-to-read phonetics. Included will be melodies associated with many of our clans. You will be amazed at the number of tunes you already know - all of which were originally Gaelic: Morning has Broken, Westering Home, Morag of Dunvegan, The Campbells are Comin', etc..

Schedule:

On Saturday, there will be Gaelic singing followed by a Gaelic class at 11:40am and there will be Gaelic singing followed by a Gaelic class at 1:00pm. On Sunday, there will be Gaelic singing followed by a Gaelic class at 1:00pm.
